Periodically we give interdisciplinary courses for professionals that include themes such as grief, crisis intervention, the dying process, how to give bad news, etc.
In 2006 we began to provide a Masters Program in Palliative Care in conjunction with Catholic University of Costa Rica which had its first graduation in November of 2007.
We have formed various partnerships with different universities with the end goal being that their graduates come to practice professionally or do their graduation projects with the Foundation.
We organize talks, courses, and seminars, because through these we are able to give to the families the ability to provide: self care, basic care for the patients, pain management, etc.
Moreover, the interdisciplinary team coordinates with various special education centers, in order to offer training to the teachers there.
Through volunteer service we organize workshops including activities such as: manicures and pedicures, drawing and painting, handicrafts, and others.
