The Constitutional Courtroom categorical pronounced in 1992 declaring that:
"All Costa Ricans have the right to a worthy and painless death".
This declaration is probably unique in the world and it gives legal sustenance to the Palliative Care and Pain Control tasks. That is why the social impact magnitude of this labor is not only of national character but Latin American as well, besides being Costa Rica the only country in the region that has, today, a Diurnal Center of Pediatric Palliative Care (Saint Gabriel Shelter). With the Pediatric Palliative Cares Hospice and Diurnal Center it would be one of the main centers of Pediatric Palliative Care assistance in the world as well as a Training Center for professionals, so that they can carry out this practice in their countries
That is why we have the task of giving a global projection to collect the necessary funds to perform this labor, through NGO's, Foundations, Companies, Institutions, Governments and others.
If you wish to integrate to this project and to collaborate with our goal, we invite you be part of all the people, institutions and companies that with their love are healing the pain of hundreds of children and adolescents with a terminal disease.
