We are a Costa Rican non-profit organization protected under Foundational Law No. 5338. This law was established in August of 1973 and in its first article it reads:

“We stand for and want to recognize every single foundation as having its own legal personality as a private entity for the public to utilize. Every one puts no limit to charity and has the intention to realize, and perhaps more importantly, help to realize, how it can fulfill our desired destiny as a patrimony. We will do that by striving to provide educational, artistic, literary or scientific activities and benefits, as well as anything else that would result in benefit for society.”

We began working in 1992, directed toward alleviating the pain that afflicts those patients to which, because of the nature of their illnesses, curative medicine does not offer much. However, integral palliative care CAN offer possibilities for these patients.
